Dak Organization has successfully completed a workshop for women and girls interested in media, within the project “Developing and Building Capacity of Women and Girls from Sinjar through Workshops and Trainings on Women’s Rights, Feminist Concepts and Leadership” funded by the Canadian Embassy in Iraq. The training was conducted for ten women and girls from Sinjar, the training course aimed to develop participants’ skills about laws, press diets, how to craft media news and produce effective press content. The participants’ satisfaction was very high after completing the training and they were asking for more similar trainings as it supports them in building their capacities, strengthening their personalities and enabling them to support members of their community, especially women and girls.
