We are a group of Ezidi Women who support and develop women.
Our work started as a group of volunteers and established Dak Organization.

We as Dak Organization started working since June 8, 2015.

We as Ezidi women feel responsible of women from Iraq and all over the world and support women to not be vulnerable and violated and to teach women how to support each other and become part of decision making in society and not being victim of wars and conflicts in future.

Full name: Dak Organization for Ezidi Women Development.

Dak Organization is a humanitarian, developmental, non- profit, non-political, non-governmental, and independent women’s organization. Working for women’s development, empowerment, protection and peacebuilding through the strengthening of women’s decision making. It is also a feminist organization that fights for the rights of women by empowering women and building their capacities in different walks of life. Dak established and registered due to KRG Laws and legislations on the 8th of June, 2015 commence and Dak got registration certificate under number 1O1901020 from NGOs directorate in the cabinet council in Baghdad

1. Organizing and uniting the efforts of women to defend the cause of Yezidi women who are survivors of sexual violence and to strive to obtain their material and moral rights.

2. Pressing decision makers to compensate women affected by sexual violence and to try criminals to obtain their fair punishment.

3. Emphasizing and enhancing the position of women and their role in society and enabling them to exercise their rights as citizens, workers and housewives, based on the principles of equality, justice, equal opportunities, participation and respect for their dignity

4. Raise women’s awareness of their role and rights and enhance their participation in various fields.

5. Seek to integrate women in the development of the local community and strive to improve their social position and enable them to invest in their creative and productive capacities better.

6. Seek to overcome legislative, economic, social, cultural and other obstacles that prevent the full realization of women’s rights as stipulated in international covenants, including the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women and the guarantee of their rights in accordance with the Iraqi constitution.

7. Seek to enable women to obtain health care and protection in general and in the area of reproductive and sexual health and maternity and childhood care in particular, and to spread a healthy culture between them.

8. Spreading a culture of peace and enhancing the role of women in peace-making and peace-building processes.

9. Provide women with the skills, knowledge, experiences, capabilities and various services that enable them to contribute to building their society.

10. Contribute to literacy for women in the alphabet, legal, cultural and political fields.

11. Develop women’s leadership capabilities based on the values of ethical leadership.
