The participation of Ezidi women survivors in the International Conference for the Islamic Day of Violence Against Women
The participation of Ezidi women survivors in the activities of the 12th International Conference for the Islamic Day of Violence Against Women in Baghdad, on 09/20/2020 in the presence of the three presidencies, the head of UNAMI in Iraq, representatives of diplomatic missions and government figures, and several representatives women of civil society from various departments, international and national organizations that work for women’s affairs.
The Ezidi woman survivor, Eman Abdullah, speaking in her speech about the size of the tragedies that the Ezidies were subjected to in general, and the survivors in particular, appealed to the three presidencies to protect their identity and existence. And to accelerate the enactment of laws that do justice to survivors and recognize the genocide committed against the Ezidies, Christians, Shabak Shiites, Turkmen Shiites, and Kakay. She appealed to the international community and the United Nations to assume its moral responsibilities before its legal obligations towards the Ezidies, and the need to implement justice and to provide justice to the victims of the Ezidi Community, as well as to ensure the safe return of the displaced to their homes.
