Dak Organization organized an activity on the first anniversary of ISIS Attack to Sinjar. Dak coordinated with few organizations and activists. The activity conducted as solidarity stand before UN headquarters, after the passage of one year on the fall of Sinjar, to express on behalf of Yazidies, what they suffered in the area due to their exposure to the most internationally perilous terrorist organization of ISIS and also to pay tribute to the honorable attitude of Kurds who courageously stood against ISIS and fought them on behalf of whole the world.

This activity aimed to reach a message and voice of all Yazidies especially victims who are captivated Yazidi Women. Director of Dak Organization had a meeting with Secretary General of the United Nations and reached the written message by Dak, activists presenting some other NGOs and the main demanded points was as below:

• Atrocities committed against Yazidies must be recognized as genocide. We look forward to an international resolution concerning this issue because what happened and still happening is, by all means, meant to exterminate Yazidies. Furthermore, lobbying the Iraqi Government to participate in the international criminal court for the case of genocide against minorities in Iraq.
• Guaranteeing the protection of minorities in their territories particularly the Yazidies. Through passing laws that prevent racial discrimination and hate speech/crimes against minorities in Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region particularly.
• Full support must be provided to Peshmerga forces and Yazidi fighters to be able to liberate our areas especially Sinjar.
• Further support and cooperation must be engaged with the KRG to ensure the rescue of our kidnapped women, girls, and children and put a stop to their sufferings. The return of our kidnapped must be priority for any humanitarian actor.
• More aids must be provided to improve life standards to the displaced living in camps.
• Assistance must be provided to the KRG to effectively contribute to the reconstruction of the areas destroyed by ISIS.
• All the criminals who perpetrated crimes against Yazidies should be put on trial.
