Promoting Protection and Livelihoods for Displaced and Returnee Ethnic and Religious Minority Women and Children in Sinjar
The project aims to strengthen the resilience of conflict-affected displaced and returnee ethnic and religious minority women and children in Sinjar. The intervention will respond to the protection and livelihoods needs of displaced and returnee ethnic and religious minority women and children in Sinjar. Services include case management, psychosocial support (PSS), legal support, access to child-friendly spaces, and referrals to specialized child protection services outside the scope of the intervention. 60 women will develop strong vocational skills to improve their livelihoods, of whom 20 will be supported to set up their own businesses. In addition, a group of women leaders will be empowered to raise awareness among community members on the importance of women’s work to improve women’s livelihoods by increasing support for women to undertake their own businesses.
