Justice for All
Heartland Alliance International, in collaboration with Dak and five other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), is currently implementing the “Justice for All” project in Iraq. This project , funded by DRL, aims to strengthen systems and foster collaboration among organizations while enhancing resilience among survivors of gender-based violence, including Yezidi former ISIS captives. The project focuses on providing comprehensive protection, mental health services, and improving state systems to align with international standards. Adopting a survivors-centered approach, the program advocates for gender justice and promotes peaceful coexistence among marginalized groups in Iraq. As part of this effort, Dak will develop a suicide prevention strategy tailored specifically for minority communities, contributing to the overarching goals of the project.
