Increasing women participation in conflict prevention and decisions making inside the family and community from age (18-55 years)
Project Description:
The project aimed at supporting a more peaceful and gender equal society in northern Iraq, through the empowerment and active participation of women in conflict prevention, crisis response, peace building and decisions making. Facilitation and mediation capacities has developed for the targeted women from different positions and areas in Sinjar to mitigate conflict cases and solve tensions.
The project focused on (increasing community awareness about the necessity of women participation in conflict resolution and decisions making, increase women independence financially, increase women awareness about their rights, increase women knowledge about how to participate in decisions making, training and enabling women from different villages, complexes and cities in Sinjar about how to be leaders and mediators in their communities ) all the activities of the project will apply in two centers.
