- Strengthening civil activity and capacities of Iraqi civil society organizations to contribute to women’s empowerment and peace and security.
- Protecting and empowering survivors of the Islamic State organization, especially women and girls, and other marginalized communities.
- Enhancing prevention of crimes, reconciliation, and accountability by addressing conflict causes and consequences, and promoting societal recovery and reintegration.
- Promoting the status and rights of women and other marginalized populations in law and politics.
Project Objectives:
1. Support community recovery and reintegration for survivors and victims of sexual violence in society.
2. Build capacities and activate legal support for survivors of sexual violence.
These objectives will be achieved through training for social researchers and case management staff, providing psychological and social support sessions for survivors, as well as training for lawyers on laws related to women’s rights and survivor-focused approaches.
