Best story competition that is related to successful women in the Sinjar Community
Dak organization is opening a door for registering in the best story competition that is related to successful women in the Sinjar Community as part of the project “Developing and Building Capacity of Women and Girls from Sinjar through Workshops and Training on Women’s Rights, Feminist Concepts and Leadership” funded by the Canadian Embassy in Iraq.
This competition will seek to identify twenty candidates, female, and male, who will submit their own real stories about successful women in their community using anonymity (the consent of the person you write a story should be submitted within your story).
Following the Jury’s evaluation of the stories and submission of the best ones based on their feedback, the three best stories will be chosen as winners and rewarded at the final stage.
If you are interested, have the required qualifications, and your story meets the competition’s standards, keep an eye on the Dak page and read the best story criteria before submitting your story once the link is released.
Competition standards/conditions:
- You may not enter this competition more than once.
- Attach your entry as a WORD document or PDF. And send it to
Google form in mentioned link with your full name and phone number. - The deadline is at 10 February 2022.
- The jury’s decision is final and not appealable.
- The short story must be in Arabic or Kurdish.
- The participant must be from Sinjar district.
- The events of the short story must express the strength and will of women and girls.
- The short story must not have been previously published.
- The participant must be at least 16 years old.
- The author’s name must not appear on the same page as the story.
