Dak Organization for Ezidi Women Development held a conference under the theme “Women from Leadership to Peacemakers”, under the patronage of Dr. Khanzad Ahmed, Secretary General of the High Council of Women and Development, in partnership with Women for Women International and supported by the UK’s Integrated Security Fund.
The conference featured in-depth discussions on challenges related to implementing the national plan and advancing the women, peace, and security agenda. Experts, policymakers, international and local organizations, and feminist activists in Duhok participated. The event resulted in strategic recommendations for the third national plan, aiming to enhance the leadership role of minority women in peace processes and decision-making.
